SATURDAY, JULY 4

08:00 – Meeting point at Hotel SIVA

09:30 – Departure for Rocca d’Aveto – Prato Cipolla – Passo dello Zovallo – Passo del Tomarlo (30 km)

13:00 – Lunch at Da Prevetto restaurant, Pian dei Pendini

15:00 – Free practice on the race course

17:00 – “Capitan Lento” race in Santo Stefano d’Aveto

18:30 – Return to the hotel

20:00 – Dinner at Pizzeria La Rocca in Rocca d’Aveto

 

SUNDAY, JULY 5

08:00 – Meeting point at Hotel SIVA

09:30 – Start of the AVETO EUC CUP hill climb “2nd Luciano Monteverde Trophy”: Rocca d’Aveto – Prato Cipolla – Monte Bue

12:00 – Award ceremony for hill climb participants at the Parco degli Alpini Amphitheatre in Santo Stefano d’Aveto

13:30 – Lunch at Dei Fieschi restaurant in Santo Stefano d’Aveto

15:00 – End of the event

 

TERRAIN MORPHOLOGY

The hill climb takes place on mixed terrain, combining forest sections and natural grassy surfaces, with a total length of 3.14 km and a maximum gradient of 28%. The start is located in Rocca d’Aveto (1,260 m above sea level), while the finish line is at the summit of Monte Bue (1,750 m above sea level).

The course includes different types of surfaces: a paved section, one with cemented stones, a dirt road section, and a grassy stretch (used as a ski slope during the winter season).

It is a technical and rewarding route that, from Prato Cipolla to the summit of Monte Bue, follows the ridge and offers striking panoramic views.

THE COMPETITION

This 2nd edition provides for rider registration by class, based on wheel diameter. There are 4 classes.

The first, second, and third overall finishers and the winners of each class will be awarded. The overall winner will receive an electric unicycle.

The winner is the rider who completes the course between start and finish in the shortest time. Finishing times will determine the rankings within each class.

REGISTRATION

Race registrations are limited and follow a progressive pricing system: the earlier you register, the less you pay. A total of 50 spots are available, divided into participant blocks with increasing fees:

€20 for the first 10 participants (sold out)
€30 for the next 10 participants (4/10 spots available)
€40 for the next 10 participants
€50 for the next 10 participants
€60 for the final 10 available spots

Registrations will open on April 22 at 21:00. The first 10 spots will be available at €20; once filled, the next 10 spots will be released at the indicated price, continuing until all spots are taken.

2nd LUCIANO MONTEVERDE TROPHY

With this event, we want to honor the memory of Luciano Monteverde, instructor and founding member of the Italian Unicycle School, who passed away prematurely in November 2024.

The race course is the terrain where Luciano often trained, where he would look out over the meadows and forests of his mountains.
